The combination describes how the available primitive moves are linked to give a piece's movement.
Possible values are:
Simple, Inclusive, Exclusive, Joint
- is used for a piece with only one step-type.
- is used when a piece has the option, on any one move, of using one, or linking together two or more, of its available step-types.
- is used when a piece may, on any one move, use one and only one of its step-types.
- is used when a piece must, on each and every move, join or link together [two or more of] its step-types.
