Trigonal Boards
Introduction
My motivation in designing CVs is mainly concerned with the topology of the playing area or board; its shape and the shape of its cells.
Of the three regular shapes that tile the plane, square, regular hexagon and equilateral triangle, the triangle is very much the poor relation in its use in CVs. This area of the Wiki combines a survey of that use with a study of the features provided by a Trigonal Board.
It will also be used in the development of several trig based CVs under the working titles of:
Terminology
I use the term Trigonal Board to refer to a board composed of triangular cells or trigons (or trigs), and the term Trigonal Chess for a CV played on such a board.
